Sorry it has been so long since my last update. I have been quite busy the past couple of weeks. A couple of weeks ago, we had our annual English Camp. We had around 80 campers, and 14 of them got saved! The entire camp was an experience in and of itself. I made new friends and had fun teaching a PE class and exercising in the mornings (at 6:30 before breakfast). No, that was not fun at all. There were several missionaries from Chiang Mai and Lampang that came to help us with this camp. This year, I had the chance to sit down with some of the girls and explain salvation. It was such a great feeling to tell the story that brought me to my saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus. All throughout the week, many of the campers asked lots of questions about God and Christianity. I also got to use my Thai in ways that I hadn't really used much before. Then on Sunday morning in the last service of the week, I got the chance to give my testimony. Thankfully, I did it in English, so that was a relief to my brain. This is the second time I have ever given my testimony in front of people and I was just as scared this time as I was last time. I still don't like standing in front of people much less with a microphone. But we praise the Lord for the souls saved during this camp and there were several of them that got saved that now go to church in Lampang at Lanna Baptist Church.
Today is also Resurrection Day, or also known as Easter! Today is the day that we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It is truly an amazing thing!! I never get tired of that story. For any Christian, it should be a story that is close to their heart. Told from the beginning, it is the greatest love story of all time!
Happy Resurrection Day everyone!!! If you would like to receive my email updates which I send out every couple of weeks about things going on in Thailand, please send me your email address either through the contact page on my website here or through Facebook. Let me know what you thought about this in the comments!!! Also I am going to get someone to do a guest post on my blog sometime soon!!! Keep an eye out for that as well!
